Welcome to our 3rd quarter DEEEEEP DIVE event sponsored by Hutchison Law.
We are going to host a DOUBLE event with NC IDEA Grant Workshop first at 3 PM.
Our guest for this DEEEEEP DIVE is entrepreneur Karl Rectanus of Learn Platform.

Karl built Learn Platform in the Raleigh market in 2014.
Karl worked with a UNCW grad student named Alex Vidor who had an Edutech Startup in the UNCW CIE.
They soon participated in the Techstars New York City cohort.
The company also won a NC IDEA SEED Grant that really helped to validate the idea of the company as it moved forward in the early stages.
The NC IDEA grant helped Learn Platform raise additional capital from investors.
The company was helped by the change in the education system during Covid.
Eventually the company was acquired.
Now Karl is the Chair of the Center for Entrepreneur Development in the Triangle.
Karl is also doing some angel investing.
We discussed this DEEEEEP DIVE event at the CED VentureConnect Investor Dinner at the venture capital event in Raleigh and he agreed to participate.
